mother's day out
A preschool program for your child's spiritual, social, academic, and physical development.
The Mother's Day Out program is a non-profit ministry of Braddock Baptist Church and has been in operation since 1980. We follow a three-year rotating curriculum developed exclusively for Braddock Baptist Church MDO. Lessons integrate Bible stories, scripture, songs, music, movement, and play.
Class sizes are limited. The 2.5 year old class has ten students; the other classes have 12 students. Classroom placement is determined by student age as of September 30.
Students are evaluated on skills that are developmentally appropriate twice per year. Checklists used are derived from material used in Fairfax County Schools.
Teachers have the opportunity to work with students individually.
Weekly themes are first shared during Monday Chapel and re-enforced throughout the week. We follow Fairfax County School holidays and closings.

Our teachers and staff are Christians who have a love for preschoolers. They have been approved by Braddock Baptist Church and have had background checks through Virginia State Police and Child Protective Services. Designated staff members are CPR and First Aid certified.
We are licensed through Fairfax County and are inspected by the Fairfax County Health Department and Fire Department.
We provide a safe environment. All church doors are locked during hours of operation. A doorbell is located at the preschool entrance.
Children must be 2.5 years old to enroll in MDO. They do not need to be potty-trained.
